01 / Before you arrive
Your day in the field.
The hunts, the people, and how the day comes together.
Where do you hunt?
Young Gun Outfitters is based in Stuttgart, Arkansas. We hunt more than 25,000 acres of ground within roughly 40 miles of town, and our crews scout continuously throughout the day. Your guide sends the exact meeting location and time directly to your group.
Do you scout the fields before a hunt?
Yes. Young Gun crews scout continuously throughout the day across the more than 25,000 acres we hunt within roughly 40 miles of Stuttgart. Conditions and bird activity still vary, so no harvest is guaranteed.
What kind of goose hunts do you offer?
We guide specklebelly goose hunts. Specks are our specialty. Tell Myles which hunt you have in mind, and he will discuss the options for your dates.
How long does a goose hunt usually last?
A typical Young Gun hunt lasts 2–5 hours. Your guide confirms the plan for your date, so treat that as a general range when arranging the rest of your day.
How many hunters can you accommodate?
Smaller parties are welcome, and groups of up to 25 hunters can be accommodated by arrangement. Smaller parties may share a hunt with another group. Private party hunts are available for groups of 8 or more hunters. For a shared hunt, you do not need eight hunters or have to pay for eight spots; ask Myles or Gray about the setup for your group before booking.
What is included in the hunt?
Your guided hunt includes dogs, blinds, decoys and transportation into the field. Bring your own firearm, ammunition and required hunting licenses. Bird cleaning is not offered, and lodging is arranged separately.
Can beginners and younger hunters come?
Yes. Beginners, youth and experienced hunters are welcome. Young Gun has no fixed minimum age, but hunters must be able to handle a firearm safely. Kids 10 and under hunt free, and Myles or Gray confirms the details when you book. Discuss ages, experience and supervision with your guide before booking, and review the applicable AGFC requirements.
Can you accommodate mobility needs?
Discuss any mobility needs with Myles or Gray before booking. They will talk through field access and your group’s needs to determine whether the hunt can be arranged for you.
Where and when do we meet our guide?
Your guide sends your group a meeting pin and the exact time. Hunt locations vary within roughly 40 miles of Stuttgart. Follow those trip-specific directions rather than heading to a fixed business address or a field from a previous visit.

Let’s talk dates.
Rates, inquiries and the details to settle before booking.
How do I reserve my dates?
Send your preferred dates and group size through our inquiry form, or call or text Myles. Myles and Gray handle inquiries and aim to respond within a few days. Calls and texts are welcome 24 hours a day; for last-minute plans, call or text to check openings. Sending an inquiry does not reserve a hunt.
How much does a guided hunt cost?
The rate is $300 per hunter for one morning or one afternoon hunt. Smaller parties are welcome and may share a hunt with another group. Private party hunts are available for groups of 8 or more hunters. Shared hunts have no eight-person minimum charge. The rate is the same for every group size. Myles or Gray confirms your total and payment terms before booking.
Can we book a private party hunt?
Yes. Private party hunts are available for groups of 8 or more hunters at $300 per hunter for one morning or one afternoon hunt. Choose the private party option in your inquiry and send your headcount and preferred dates. Myles or Gray will confirm availability and arrangements. Smaller parties are welcome on shared hunts.
Is there a group discount?
The rate is the same $300 per hunter for one morning or one afternoon hunt for every group size, and there is no free-hunter group offer. When a seasonal booking offer is running, it applies to every group size. Smaller parties are welcome and may share a hunt with another group. Private party hunts are available for groups of 8 or more hunters.
Do you offer corporate hunting trips?
Yes. Corporate bookings are welcome for guided goose hunts near Stuttgart, Arkansas. Bring your team or clients, with groups of up to 25 by arrangement. Smaller parties are welcome and may share a hunt with another group. Private party hunts are available for groups of 8 or more hunters. Send Myles your preferred dates, headcount and scheduling needs. He will confirm availability, group arrangements and the booking total with you.
Can we book a bachelor party goose hunt?
Yes. Bachelor parties are welcome. Tell Myles your preferred dates, group size and hunting experience so he can discuss the right arrangements for the groom and his crew. Lodging is arranged separately, and your hunt is confirmed directly with the team.
Do you accept last-minute bookings?
Yes. Last-minute bookings are available when we have openings, and short-notice inquiries are always welcome. Call or text Myles with your desired dates and group size to check current availability before traveling. An inquiry does not reserve a date; the team confirms your booking directly.
What deposit is required, and when is the balance due?
For each $300 hunt, a $100 deposit per hunter is due 30 days before the hunt, and the remaining $200 per hunter is due after the hunt. The rate covers one morning or one afternoon hunt. Confirm your group total and payment arrangements with Myles or Gray. For bookings made less than 30 days before the hunt, contact the team to arrange payment.
What if we need to cancel, or weather changes the plan?
If you cancel, your deposit is nonrefundable and the remaining balance is not due. If weather prevents the hunt, your deposit can be refunded or transferred to another date or booking. Contact Myles or Gray to arrange the refund or transfer and confirm availability for any replacement date.

Come prepared.

What should I bring?
Bring your boots, camouflage, firearm, and ammunition, along with the licenses and documents required for your hunt. Dogs are provided. Review current Arkansas Game and Fish Commission requirements and confirm the details with your guide.
Do you provide dogs? Can I bring my own?
Dogs are provided for Young Gun hunts. If you would like to bring your own dog, speak with Myles before making travel plans so he can confirm the arrangements for your hunt.
Which hunting licenses do I need, and where can I buy them?
Use the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s official license descriptions to check the licenses, stamps and registrations that apply to your residency, age and hunt. Buy through AGFC’s license portal and review the requirements before you travel.
Where can I find waterfowl and migratory bird season dates?
Check AGFC’s current waterfowl dates and regulations, along with its migratory bird season summary. Then contact Myles about Young Gun’s available hunt dates. An open season does not mean a particular date is available to book.
